With the aim of contributing to sustainable sanitation and water & resources management in Iraq and fostering the cross-border exchange between entrepreneurs (start-ups, young businesses, etc.) and practitioners, cewas hosted a 90 minutes evening online event for WASH practitioners in Iraq in December 2020.
The event aimed at gathering like-minded professionals working in the water, sanitation and waste management sector in Iraq, so that they would share information, experiences, challenges and opportunities of implementing the holistic approach of Sustainable Sanitation and Water Management.
During the evening, the participants discussed the topic of innovations needed to promote sustainability in water and sanitation. Moreover, entrepreneurs from neighbouring countries introduced and shared their success stories in providing WASH services.
