The Water & Energy for Food (WE4F) MENA Regional Innovation Hub has announced its second regional Call for Innovations, accepting applications till November 25, 2021.
The Call for Innovations aims to onboard innovative companies from the Middle East and North Africa with the goal of enabling the production of more food with efficient and sustainable usage of water and energy along the value chain from farm to end-user, and to impact food security, gender integration and poverty reduction in an environmentally sustainable way.
WE4F is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the European Union (EU), the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Government of the Netherlands, Sweden through the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The MENA Regional Innovation Hub disburses grants of up to US $300.000 per innovation to outstanding businesses, in addition to technical assistance, investment readiness support, networking, and partnership support.
